I agree that these bathroom attendants are annoying and in most places that I've frequented, they're actually unecessary, but you have to consider (after what I just said), in the end its all about making money. People will do it however they can, and while annoying and inconvenient, you simply have to deal with it for their sake. They gotta surviv more…

I run a bathroom service here in San Diego, California. We provide a service to the patrons of several "adult" clubs in the area. We keep the bathroom clean and neat and make sure there is never any wet spots on the floor. We provide a measure of safety for patrons and club staff as well. Patrons are not allowed to wank off in the stall or mix more…

It's only an incentive if you really LOVE buying things from, say, Argos and really HATE buying things from, say, Currys (one of my most hated shops - a) for the shit shop staff who seem to simply read what's on the label if you ask them about a product, b) for the fact they NEVER have what they show on display "round the back" and c) for the lack more…

Even more ridiculous is on flights with pre-booked seats. People still get up and queue for 10 minutes when their seat numbers are called. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

Just sit down and go on at the end!!! No queue and no waiting in the airplane isle for people to put their bags away, find their seats etc. more…

    Totally agree!

We had to endure one of those dreaded bus trips to take us from the departure lounge to our plane recently (with, 'needles' to say, Ryan Air) which followed a vast amount of standing-around-in-a-queue-for-no-apparent-reason-other-than-you-saw-someone-else-get-up-and-thought-you-should-too for about 40mins prior to being more…

Right with you on the Chuggers. Annoy the hell out of me.

It's their 'fake disappointed' looks (as if you've just refused to help a dying baby right there on the street) when you try and avoid eye contact and do the usual 'no thank you' hand wave.

    Don't get me started....

I agree completely Joe - funny how often these things pass one by as only minor inconveniences until someone actually stops and reminds you how bloody annoying they are!

I only ever encounter tipping when I go to a big meal at a restaurant for various family birthdays. Never been supervised while I pee and asked to tip for it. Maybe that's because I've only ever been to a really fancy hotel with a clockroom big enough to allow it for a wedding meal/reception. And as it was a private function there wasn't one. But t more…

Yes, the tax on cigarettes amounts to more than the estimated financial cost on the NHS (about £1.7 billion). But it's not simply a question of money.

Think about how many appointments and operations are done every year to treat smoking-related illnesses. Then take a look at the waiting lists for serious non-smoking-related operations more…

ever broken the speed limit? even by 5mph?

Look i get your point but for gods sake, our society is becoming so pampered. We wont be able to dress ourselves or cross the road without wrapping up in bubble wrap soon. As for the drain on the NHS, smokers contribute more than they take with the amount of tax they pay on cigs. The governmen more…

This tipping situation is bloody troublesome, yes, but not as bad as in America. I know people who have been chased down the street by waiters in New York, just because they didn't leave a tip. Surely the whole point of tipping is that you do it voluntarily if you think you have recieved good service? I have a rule now; if I've actually been given more…

I agree wholeheartedly. And I actually think the singing (which by the way seems to be a pre-requisite for all toilet attendants, even in the girls loos) is the most infuiating part! I've come in here for a break from the noise, shut the f**k up!!! And tipping is the mother of quandaries. I think the rules of tipping is a whole other rant in itself more…

    Ha.its everywhere.

Was walking around a busy Glasgow street yesterday.
Places to go. Very little time.

Why MUST boyfriends and their girlfriends insist on stopping right infront of me to whisper sweet nothings in each others ears?

I smoked since I was 10. And most of my adult life, I smoked 30 a day.

They I gave up 2 years ago.

It was so difficult, it really was so hard, and I had 'severe reactive depression' because smoking from such a young age had damaged my brain's ability to manage serotonin properly.

It all comes down to addiction. Nicotine is more addictive that heroin apparantly. But don't condemn all smokers because it's really not that easy and we're all still under the impressionthat smoking relieves stress! (Even though it doesn't!) more…

Why do you not want to stop? It tastes bad and doesn't make you feel better at all - in fact it kills you! I smoke and I hate it, but quitting isn't that easy. I wish I'd never smoked. Surely you can't have no regrets at all? more…
